Established in March 2017, the Salt City Athletic Conference (SCAC) represents the 15 largest schools in the greater Syracuse area. The conference is traditionally divided into two divisions: the Metro Division, which includes the largest schools based on BEDS, and the Empire Division, which consists of schools with smaller enrollments.
The mission of the SCAC is to formulate and adopt policies that enable the league to administer and govern interscholastic athletics in accordance with sound practices and in compliance with Section 3 and NYSPHSAA rules and regulations.
The SCAC takes pride in creating positive and memorable experiences for all student-athletes, offering them the opportunity to compete at the highest level available in Section III athletics.
