Stroh Reaches 400 Strikeouts as Fabius-Pompey Outlasts Weedsport

FABIUS, N.Y. — April 27, 2026

Fabius-Pompey sophomore Paige Stroh reached a historic milestone on Monday, recording the 400th strikeout of her varsity career in an 8–7 win over Weedsport. The Falcons prevailed in a tightly contested, back-and-forth matchup.
After falling behind early, the Falcons responded in a big way during the third inning, erupting for five runs to seize momentum. Stroh played a key role in the rally, ripping a two-run double that helped turn a deficit into a lead. Weedsport later battled back and tied the game in the fifth inning, but Fabius-Pompey reclaimed the lead in the sixth on a heads-up baserunning play that plated the eventual game-winning run.

In the circle, Stroh delivered another dominant outing. She went the distance all seven innings, allowing six hits and seven runs (four earned) while striking out 12 batters. One of those strikeouts marked career number 400, a significant achievement for the sophomore ace. Stroh earned the complete-game victory, helping the Falcons improve their record with the one-run triumph. At the plate, Stroh finished 1-for-2 with a double, two RBIs, a run scored, and a walk.

Reaching 400 career strikeouts as a sophomore highlights just how impactful Paige Stroh has been since the moment she stepped onto the varsity field. As one of the Falcons’ primary pitchers, Stroh has combined consistency, durability, and strikeout power to anchor the Fabius-Pompey team against some of the top competition in their class.

With two full seasons still ahead of her, Paige Stroh’s milestone on April 27th is unlikely to be her last. As her career strikeout total continues to climb and her offensive production grows, she remains a central figure in the Falcons’ present success.
