Alivia Cavotta Reaches Career Hit Milestone for Chittenango Softball

Apr 20

Chittenango junior Alivia Cavotta reached a major milestone in her varsity softball career this past weekend, recording the 100th hit of her career during Saturday’s game against Maine-Endwell on April 18. The achievement underscores Cavotta’s consistency and impact at the top of the Bears’ lineup throughout her high school career.

Cavotta’s success at the plate goes beyond just contact. Closing out the 2024-2025 season with a batting average just under .500, she has continued the success into this season, currently batting .321, 8 games into the season. Her combination of speed and instincts has made her a threat once she reaches base, and she has regularly turned singles into doubles and pressured defenses with aggressive baserunning.

Reaching 100 career hits is a milestone few achieve, and Cavotta has done so through hard work, preparation, and consistency. As the 2026 season continues, she’ll look to build on that total and help lead the Bears toward another successful postseason run.
