HAMILTON, N.Y. — October 2, 2026
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and on Friday, October 2, the Hamilton Central School boys and girls soccer programs once again joined forces for their annual Kick Pink event. The evening featured a varsity doubleheader, with the boys taking the field at 4 p.m. followed by the girls at 6 p.m., all in support of breast cancer awareness and fundraising efforts.
The event brought together student-athletes, families, alumni, and community members in a meaningful show of support for those affected by breast cancer. All proceeds from the evening benefited the St. Agatha Foundation, a Central New York nonprofit dedicated to providing support, comfort, and care to breast cancer patients and their families.
The games also showcased two of New York State's top small-school soccer programs. Entering the contest, Hamilton's boys soccer team was ranked No. 4 in Class D, while the girls soccer team held the No. 12 spot in the Class D state rankings as recognized by the New York State Sportswriters Association.
The Hamilton boys opened the evening with an impressive 10-0 victory over Mount Markham, extending their undefeated season and improving to 13-0 overall.
The girls' team continued the celebration in the second game of the doubleheader, earning a 3-1 win over Fabius-Pompey. The victory improved the Knights' record to 9-2-1 on the season and added another quality result to an already successful campaign.
Beyond the final scores, the evening highlighted what makes high school athletics special. Players competed with purpose while helping raise awareness and funds for an important cause. The annual Kick Pink event continues to be a meaningful tradition for Hamilton soccer, demonstrating the program's commitment to serving the community while striving for excellence on the field.
With both teams earning victories and the community coming together in support of the St. Agatha Foundation, the 2026 Kick Pink doubleheader was a memorable success both on and off the pitch.
